Surgery and the increasing amount of gray hairs have helped me to feel older and older, but nothing made me feel older than watching The Wizards of Waverly Place with my daughter while I was out of work sick. These are the real reasons I now feel so much older...
1. The children of the people you watched on TV are now playing the fathers on your kid's shows. The father on the show is David Deluise, son of Dom Deluise.
2. As a child I watched shows and the girls in the shows were cute and it was fun. When I watch shows with my daughter, I found myself thinking again wow she is cute, then I realized that I was looking at the mother. Yes, I know that I am a father, but still she is the Mom!
Ok, she is a hot mom and she does the voice for Hawkgirl on The Justice League, sweet.
3. Plots that are old a well used are fresh and new to your kids. I remember seeing many elements of the plots in the Wizards show being used in Bewitched, or The Munsters, and others. But to my six year old, they are new. These bits were too fresh to be used in the 90s, but now they are all new again.

5. In the episode where they are talking about future careers, they are looking at magician, rock star, and the father chimes in with running the sub shop he owns. I liked his idea best. The other two are just too absurd for me to consider, but to my six year old they are perfect.
What can I say, The Wizards of Waverly place makes me feel old, well maybe just older. Either way, I know I am not a kid anymore.
